About the day

Learn the history of English wine, sample some of the finest wines of a West Sussex vineyard paired with a charcuterie-style lunch, and take a walk among the vines.

With an expert Bolney Wine Estate guide taking the lead you’ll travel through forty years of the vineyard’s history, as well as the deeper story of England’s wine-making going all the way back to Roman times. You’ll learn all there is to know about Bolney’s expertise as you wander through their picturesque eighteen acre field and take a look behind the scenes at their state-of-the-art winery, where you’ll discover the winemaking process.

Once the tour is over you’ll get to taste some of the wines that have been discussed paired with a charcuterie-style lunch, including artisan breads, meats, cheeses as well as a selection of seasonal desserts and more. There’s five different wines for you to sip under the tutelage of a wine-tasting expert, helping you to discern all of the notes and flavours that you’ll find in each different glass and mouthful.

What happens on the day?

A

On arrival at the Bolney Wine Estate you’ll be greeted by a member of staff and given a glass of delicious sparkling wine each while you wait for the whole tour group to arrive. From there you’ll be taken on a tour of the estate’s eighteen acre field while learning all there is to know about English wine making, and go behind the scenes at their state of the art winery to discover Bolney’s winemaking processes.

After the tour you and your experience partner will take part in a tutored tasting session, sampling five of the Estate’s award-winning wines paired with a charcuterie-style lunch for two, packed with a seasonal selection of delicious, locally sourced food including cheeses, meats, and quiches.

When can I do this?

Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

This experience is available on selected dates February to November.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow approximately 3 hours 30 minutes for the whole experience.

All you have to do is pay for the experience and we’ll send a voucher through the post, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
