Rüdesheim am Rhein is a town in the Rhine Valley, Germany. It’s known for wine making, especially of Riesling wines.
The Campingplaz am Rhein beautifully modern site with outstanding onsite facilities. Just 1km outside the site is a heated swimming pool,a tennis court,a mini golf course and an adventure playground. The site is family run and also has an onsite mini shop which offers a selection of goods including daily requirements such as bread and milk.
The site is only 10 minute walk from the famous Drosselgasse, a lane lined with shops, taverns and restaurants. There are also Beautiful Castles line the route either side of the Rhein on the way to Rudesheim.
There is plenty to do nearby including the Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet, a museum of around 350 mechanical musical instruments which is worth a visit. Travel by cable car to the Niederwald Denkmal and the Eagle Sanctuary.Take a trip round the vinyards of Rüdesheim with the Winegrower Express. Or perhaps a visit to Medieval Brömserburg Castle is home to the Rheingau Wine Museum, exhibiting wine paraphernalia from ancient times to the present. It is also the home of Asbach Brandy.
