8.30am to 10am, Saturday 7 October 2017
Classic Vehicle Group is again pleased to offer a MIDLANDS run, a leisurely Saturday run through some of the more interesting roads and byways of the Severn and Teme river valleys, which is approximately 100 miles long and without stops will take around four hours to drive.
The start is at the Mayfly café, The Cob House Country Park near the village of Martley in the beautiful county of Worcestershire, which is able to offer us the essential pre run refreshments. http://www.cobhouse.org/fishing.asp
An interesting tour with no need to rush, just enjoy the countryside and get to know fellow enthusiasts. The start will be from 10:00am with an easy to follow “Tulip” road book, a rally plate is also provided.
Our route will take us from Worcestershire into Shropshire and on to the RAF museum at Cosford where there will be ample time to browse the exhibitions and partake in some refreshments. http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/
You will then return via a different route to the Martley area where a table is booked for a group dinner at a local pub before you make your way home.
A number of B&B rooms are available locally for those who wish to make it a leisurely weekend and stay Friday and/or Saturday night.
The cost of the event will be £33 per car with driver and passeneger (£36 for non-members), if there are any additional passengers it will be £6 per person to cover planning, MSA authorisation and expenses and will include the cost of the pre run refreshments at the Cob House.
