10.30am to 16.00pm, Sunday 5 February 2017
We're holding our annual Red Tape Motorcycle Trial at Bagshot Heath, Surrey, on Sunday 5th February 2017.
The 'Red Tape' is the Boundless Club's premier and longest running motoring event. A classic sporting motorcycle trial for pre-'65 and modern bikes, it's a contest of skill and balance while negotiating a variety of natural obstacles where riders incur penalties for footing, stopping, etc. - it's always a fun day out for competitors and spectators alike!
The Trial is open to both Club members and non-members. There'll be modern, twin-shock and classic machines taking part with classes for novice trials riders, clubmen, experts and youths. The mud, climbs, tracks and general terrain of the courses present a real challenge to competitors of all levels.
For spectators there's no charge and it's not noisy so bring your family (don't forget the picnic/hot coffee flask etc.). Wrap up warm on arrival, put on your wellies or firm footwear and enjoy a stroll around the countryside with the added bonus of watching plenty of entertaining motorcycling. Into photography? Bring your camera because the slowish speed of bikes in this event means ample opportunities to get some good outdoor shots in a natural environment and who knows, you could find one or more of your pictures in a Club magazine!
There's no problem if you're coming as a spectator and fancy getting involved in the action by judging the riders' performances. If you've not done this sort of thing before then we'll happily pair you with an experienced buddy – have a go!
