Friday 23 June to Sunday 25 June 2017
The Armed Forces Day at the National Memorial Arboretum
- Coach transfer to Alrewus and Land-Train Tour of the Arboretum
- Use of LivingWell Leisure Club Facilities
- Car parking onsite included
- Drink Reception on first evening
There are 300 memorials set around the Arboretum, all of which have a different story to tell, such as the Basra Memorial, which remembers those who lost their lives in Iraq, and the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity Memorial, which recognises the pain felt by grieving parents and promotes important research.
The 50-minute journey on the land train is the perfect way to get around the site and see magnificent trees including Horse Chestnuts and Dawn Redwoods, framing monuments that resonate the
most with you.
You’re also welcome at the Millennium Chapel of Peace and Forgiveness, where a Remembrance Service is observed every day at 11am. Occasionally, private services take place, which may restrict access for visitors.
