- A chance to explore the naval city of Portsmouth
- Breath taking views of the harbour
- Historic fort
Join Berkshire group for their Views Over Portsmouth rally. Pitch up over the famous underground tunnels of Fort Widley and enjoy breathtaking views over Portsmouth Harbour.
Fort Widly was built between 1860 and 1868 to protect the city of Portsmouth. As well as stunning views, there’s an activity centre with plenty to keep the whole family busy, from laser tag and archery to horse-riding at the Equestrian Centre.
Be sure to explore the fort’s underground tunnels, which are rumoured to be haunted. If you feel like venturing further afield, you’re a short drive from the Portsmouth itself, where you can have a wander along the harbour, delve into its naval history or hit the shops. You can also walk to the armoury, which is just along the road and well worth a visit.
Please note there are no hook-ups and own sanitation is required, along with disposal of own rubbish.
