About the Event

10.30am to 2pm, Wednesday 26 June

The Chester and Wirral Group is inviting you for a day out to the British Ironwork Centre.

Come and visit this amazing place! It has the largest collection of decorative metalwork, national projects, and beautiful finds from all over the world. Comprising of over 70 acres of sculpture parks, walking trails, extensive shopping and Café, the Ironworks has so much to explore. The centre has both indoor and outdoor sculptures.

We will meet at 10.30 in the car park and go into the centre as a group, however once inside you are free to do your own thing. Please note whilst most of the centre is accessible for the mobility impaired there are some sculptures outdoors in fields. A self drive4 seater golf buggy can be hired to go around these. £30 for 30 minutes & £50 for 60 minutes (NB the driver must hold and show a full driving licence). In addition, dogs are allowed in the outdoor areas but not in the shop or the café - there is a facility to order food and take it to a covered area where dogs are allowed.
