8pm to 10pm, Thursday 21 September 2017
Our usual Clubnight meeting with a talk by Brian Bates.
In the early 17th century Dorchester was seen my many as a hotbed of puritan revolution. Through an imaginary walk through the town we will see how Durnovarians were affected by, and contributed to, the cataclysmic national events that would eventually lead to the English Civil War. We will also see how the high and the low born dealt with the every day tribulations of hunger, sickness and crime.
We also plan to present our annual charitable donation to representatives of the Lexi May Trust see http://www.theleximaytrust.co.uk/
Free car parking at the time of the meeting should be available in the "Top o Town" Car Park opposite.
No booking necessary but please contact Douglas Lazenby for more information or to let us know you're coming
