About the event

10.30am to 2pm, Friday 16 June 2017

We have arranged a visit to the Freshwater Biological Association River Laboratory near Wareham with a guided tour of their site, facilities and activities.

Members will meet at their site at 10;30am for coffee before the tour. The site is on the river Frome a classic Southern Chalk Stream and includes Experimental Channels, Global Warming Experimental Ponds, a Fish Counter and the Fluvarium. Parts of the site will be damp so please wear suitable footwear.

Following the tour we have reserved tables at the nearby Orchard Café, Holme Nurseries for optional refreshments, at approx 1.00pm, so members and their guests will have a further opportunity to socialise.

Numbers on the tour are strictly limited so it will be a case of "first come first served".

No charge for the visit and tour although contribution to charity may be suggested.
