The impressive 5 metre wind tunnel at QinetiQ in Farnborough is a world-leading facility which has played a major role in the development of many of the airliners which you see in the air today.
With the much appreciated help of the staff at QinetiQ we have arranged a free afternoon tour of the tunnel.
We will be accompanied on the visit by Dr David Mowbray, a Boundless by CSMA member, who was responsible for the design of the 5 metre tunnel.
The tunnel is an enclosed working environment so some trip and slip hazards will exist. The facility is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair access.
We will meet at the QinetiQ car park at 1.30pm so that we can be signed in and commence the visit at about 2pm.
Places are limited so please book early if you wish to take part in the visit.
Please contact Ian Moir for more information or to book
