For our clubnight this time local historian Pip Wright, will appear in character as Joe Whistlecraft to tell the true story of the notorious Whistlecraft family of poachers of Rickinghall and Hinderclay.
Heavy drinking, murder and intrigue are all part of the story, with Joe spending more than twenty years in jail for various offences - he apparently regarded jail as an occupational hazard! After the talk, there will be the usual refreshments, and the opportunity for a chat.
