2:00pm to 5:00pm, Tuesday 26th July 2016This is a self-drive trip and tour of Bishopthorpe Palace which has been the home of the Archbishops of York for over 750 years.
Today Bishopthorpe Palace operates as a multi-functional premises, hosting working offices, meeting rooms, worship areas and living quarters. In addition to functioning as the Archbishop's home and office of the Northern Province, the palace and its grounds are also used for charity open days, retreats, evening receptions, village fetes, and dinners. We meet in the car park at 1.45pm to commence a 90 minute tour at 2.00 pm followed by a cream tea at 3.30pm which is included in the cost of just £7.00 per person (group price). We can only take a maximum of 25, so if you are interested please book early to avoid disappointment. All members and guests are welcome.
