8.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday 3 October 2016
This talk will explain the structure of the cavalry before and during the Napoleonic wars (so that we know the meanings of words like dragoons, hussars and regimental structure). Then we will look at the details of gun making in England and the carbines, pistols and swords issued to cavalry before and during the Napoleonic wars. With real guns to illustrate the point!
I don’t suppose that we shall be permitted to discharge any weapons across the nearby A34, but our venue would provide an excellent vantage point. Please come and join us for what looks like an informative talk.
No booking necessary but please contact Shaun Farrelly for more information or to let us know you're coming
