About the event

2:00pm to 4:00pm, Wednesday 15th June 2016

Peterborough Museum is reputed to be the most haunted building in the City. The Vaults tour takes us back to the time that the house was built and is a guided tour of the vaults with audio visual effects to enhance the experience and takes about forty minutes.. It is accessed down quite steep stairs and the lighting in the vaults is quite dim in places and the floors are a little uneven, hence it is not recommended for people who are unsteady on their feet or of a nervous disposition. Having said that, there were people in the group I went with who were well over sixty five and who had replacement joints. The vaults tour is in parties of 15 max. and is normally only open during the day and we have arranged an afternoon, 2pm and evening, 7pm visit so that those who cannot get there during the day can join in. Please arrive by 10 minutes before your tour departure time. If you are able to join the afternoon group it would help to allow space for those who can only join the evening one. The price will be £4 each for either group Booking is essential. If you would like to join us, please contact Geoff or Marjorie Hadnam on 01733 267922 or email Bob at
