• Cathedral city of Chichester
• Fishbourne Roman Palace
• Coastal villages
Join Portsmouth Group for the Orchard Farm Rally at Chidham, which is conveniently situated a couple of miles west of the beautiful cathedral city of Chichester.
This fascinating area is steeped in history. Nearby is Fishbourne Palace, the largest Roman residential building discovered in Britain. Dating back to the beginning of the Roman occupation, the palace offers visitors of all ages aunique experience. Neighbouring Bosham (pronounced Bozzum) is mentioned in the Bayeux Tapestry, since it was reputed to be the place where, in 1064, Harold, Edward the Confessor and William of Normandy met to discuss who would succeed Edward to the throne.
You could also explore the village of Chidham, which is listed as part of Bosham, one of the wealthiest manors in England, in the Domesday Book. This collection of vibrant coastal villages
is at the foot of the South Downs and close to Chichester Harbour in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There is lots to do in the area so do come and join us on this friendly six-night rally.
There are a limited number of electric hook-up pitches at £4 per unit per night extra.
