About the event
7.30pm to 10.30pm, Monday 10 May 2021
Remember those great big gobstoppers, flying saucers, pear drops, sherbet dips, liquorice, etc. of your youth?
Well, here's your chance to relive (and even re-taste) some of these favourites of childhood!
Mr Simms (a.k.a. Martin Peet, Managing Director) will tell us all about the evolution and manufacture of old sweets, and will let us have tasters along the way.
This is a great trip down memory lane, via your taste buds. Not to be missed.
The seating will be arranged so that there is plenty of room for social distancing, couples may sit together and masks must be worn inside the venue.
Tea and coffee will be available from 7.30pm, talk starts at 8pm.
Numbers at the venue will be restricted due to social distancing requirements. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Please also note that this talk is subject to any changes to COVID19 guidelines made by the Government at any time, which may result in cancellation.
