About the event

7pm to 9.30pm Thursday 16 January 2020

As Plymouth continues towards the final arrangements for the Mayflower 400 Celebrations, which takes place in September 2020, let's look back to what led up to this event.

To escape religious persecution in Stuart England, the pilgrims left their final stop in Plymouth aboard the Mayflower in 1620 to head for the New World.

Many believe that these Puritans laid foundations for modern America.

Join Dr Mike Hayward as he takes us through the historical voyage of the Mayflower.
