Come along and join us for our Birdsall House outing.
This event consists of a guided tour of the house which lasts about an hour. We will be given a brief history of the house and family before being taken round the house which contains a large variety of antique paintings and furniture, and an unbroken line of portraits of the Willoughby family from 1579.
The collections of furniture and paintings were collected by the Willoughby family over the last 500 years. It includes furniture by Thomas Chippendale and Gillows of Lancaster, paintings by Joshua Reynolds, Pompeo Batoni and Louis-Gabriel Blanchet.
After the tour we will be given coffee and biscuits in the large dining room, and following that our group will be able to have a walk round the gardens.
You will have to be able to self drive to Bridsall House.
