Come and join us for a talk on the History of York Cemetery.
The talk starts with the history of York Cemetery from when it opened in 1837 up to today and how the Trust now manage the site. York Cemetery is a 24 acre site and a haven for wildlife due to the diversity of the vegetation, with approximately 1,500 trees and a multitude of plants growing on Butterfly Walk, Scented Walk, Fernery, Herb Garden and Winter Colour Area. Mr Dawson will present pictures of some of the plants and trees and explain why they are grown in the Cemetery.
No booking necessary but please contact Elaine for more information or to let us know you're coming.
