York and it's Walls, A Walk Through Time.
York's walls have been a constant throughout it's history, from the earliest days of the Roman occupation to the modern tourist city. In this talk James Tyler takes a walk through York's history and the various stages in the history of the walls, from the Roman embankment and palisade to the Georgian walking attraction and beyond, right up to the modern day.
This talk is given by James Tyler who has a Masters in Medieval History from the University of Hull and currently works for the York Archaeological Trust. He provides historical information and customer service across their three Medieval sites: The Richard III Experience at Monk Bar, The Henry VII Experience a Micklegate Bar and Barley Hall.
