Join Boundless at the Clacton Airshow, one of the longest running Airshows in the UK. Taking place in the week before the August Bank Holiday it’s a great excuse to have a long weekend with your family and friends.
Clacton Airshow doesn’t end with the impressive aerobatic displays. There are lots of other family-friendly activities to enjoy throughout the weekend, including fireworks, dusk flights, ground displays, competitions, food-and-drink stalls and lots of exhibitions stands.
Entry to the Clacton Airshow is free of charge, which means you can have a great day out with the family without worrying about the cost.
To make the Clacton Airshow even more special, why not join us in our exclusive and newly updated members’ area? We’ll do everything we can to make your experience of the event as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As a Boundless member, you’ll get free access to the area and our impressive viewing platform, providing uninterrupted views of the flight display. With Boundless you can have a free hot drink and put your feet up while your mobile phone securely recharges. You can even leave your bags with us so that you don’t have to carry them around all day.
The Boundless members’ area will be located on the far west point of the West Greensward (near the adventure golf course). If you’re thinking of attending the event, please click on the ‘I’m Interested’ box on the right – this way we can send you important information ahead of time and we’ll have a good idea of how many members we can expect to see over the weekend.

What is your position with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak?A
It is with great sadness that Boundless has decided to cancel our presence at the Clacton Airshow.
Boundless have been continually monitoring the latest public health and government guidelines regarding the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and acting in accordance with their advice. Unfortunately, social distancing guidelines makes hosting a member’s area at this event unmanageable.
The safety and wellbeing of our members, volunteers and staff is our primary concern and therefore the only action for all involved is to cancel the event.
The event was extremely popular with our members and we are hoping to have a presence at the event again in 2021.
We are truly sorry that we have had to make this extremely difficult decision and thank you all for your patience, understanding and support in this unprecedented situation.
How can I get there?A
Clacton Airshow is a very popular event and we recommend the use of public transport where possible.
By Car: From London and the M25, take the A12 signed Chelmsford and Colchester, pass the exits to Colchester West and Colchester Central, and then join the A120 signposted Harwich and Clacton.
From the Midlands and North, follow the A14 (signposted Felixstowe/Harwich) until you are south of Ipswich. Join the A12 signposted London, then take the A120 signposted Harwich. From the A120 join the A133 for Clacton, Frinton, Walton, St Osyth, Brightlingsea etc.
By Rail: Regular trains run to the Essex Sunshine Coast with daily direct services from both Clacton and Harwich International to London Liverpool Street. Average journey time from London is 1 hour 45 minutes.
I have a friend or family member who wants to come as well.A
Great, bring them along! They can have full use of the members’ area as well as long as you’re with them.
Where is the Boundless members area and how do I get in?A
The members’ area will be adjacent to the adventure golf course at the most western point of the West Greenward. For more information on where we’ll be, click on the yellow ‘I’m Interested’ box on the right of the screen.
To get into the members’ area, all you need to do is show any of our team your Boundless membership card. We’ll then issue you with a pass which allows you to drop in as many times as you like over the weekend.
When will the Boundless members area be open?A
The members’ area will be open throughout the fiesta, including the dusk flights and fireworks.
- Thursday 27 August: 11am – 9pm (dusk flights and fireworks)
- Friday 28 August: 11am-5pm
How accessible is the site for people with mobility difficulties?A
The event takes place on Clacton Promenade which is mainly paved and flat. Those with mobility issues will be able to access the Boundless members’ seating areas. However, due to the way the space is set up, anyone having difficulty with stairs may not be able to access the balcony level.
Is the airshow dog-friendly? And are they allowed in the Boundless Members Area?A
Dogs are definitely welcomed to the Airshow. You might experience some loud noises and there will be lots of people so we recommend having a dog on the lead. Please look out for the full programme of events and plan your trip with your dog around this.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the members area, we ask you to please be aware that some people (and particularly children) may find dogs unsettling.
