Join Boundless on Saturday 15 June for a members’ day out at the award-winning Beamish Open Air Museum. Are you ready for a completely unique experience? Then this one-of-a-kind member event is for you.
Take a deep breath as you step into this incredible living museum, travelling back in time almost 200 years. There are no objects locked in glass cages here.
You, your friends and family are completely free to explore the awe-inspiring 350-acre site that gives you a unique insight into the lives of the people of northeast England, from way back in the 1820s right through to the 1940s.
This world-famous interactive museum is truly remarkable and allows you to experience first hand what life was like for the people who lived and worked during these fascinating times. The past will be brought vividly to life through sights, sounds, smells and delicious tastes. There’s so much to discover within the extensive grounds, you can taste traditional food from a coal-fired range, hop on board a tram or steam train, play schoolyard games together and pop into Co-op shops – plus much, much more.
While you’re at Beamish, make sure you visit the Boundless members’ area, where there will be family drop-in craft activities running throughout the day and a chance to take part in our explorer quizzes – there are some great Beamish prizes to be won. From 10am – 12pm you can also pop in for morning refreshments.
When booking tickets, why not book onto a free guided tour and see some of the museum’s collections that are not on public view. Tours are run by museum experts and will give you an in-depth look into the how the museum brings the past to life.
As with all our member events, the Boundless team will be there to meet you on the day and help to make sure you get the most out of your visit to Beamish. Whether it’s fast-track entry, free refreshments, entertaining the family or getting you behind-the-scenes tours, we’ve got it covered to make your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Please note, this member event will only be taking place on Saturday 15 June and tickets will not be available for any other date. So don’t miss out – get your family and friends together and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity!
