Chester Zoo is the UK’s number one charity zoo, with over 21,000 animals and 500 different species, including some of the most exotic and endangered animals on the planet. Spot the gorgeous red pandas snoozing high in the tree tops and watch Asian elephants munching on leaves in the Asian Forest. Spend the day spying the big cats splashing around the new islands exhibit where you can take a boat ride around six Southeast Asian islands on your own unique expedition. You really will be spoilt for choice!

At the Boundless welcome gazebo you’ll be able to collect your tickets, map, face-painting vouchers and enter the raffle. We’ll also be on hand to advise you about all the amazing animal talks available – these are truly not to be missed – and we’ll answer any questions you may have about your day.

This member event at Chester Zoo will only be taking place on Saturday 14 September and tickets will not be available for any other date.

Boundless members’ day isn't just about giving you perks on the day, you can also save up to £9.20 per ticket*.

Boundless member prices:

  • Adult (aged 18 and over) – £16.80
  • Child Price (aged 3 to 17) - £14.00
  • Infant (aged 2 and under) – Free

*Up to £9.20 per ticket compared to Chester Zoo walk-up ticket price, which makes a Boundless saving of 35%.

Please note that tickets will be available to purchase through Boundless until Monday 9 September at 9am. Boundless tickets are only available in advance and cannot be purchased on the day of the event.

Are there any age restrictions?


No. Admission prices vary depending on age.

  • Adult tickets: aged 18 and over
  • Child tickets: aged 3 – 17
  • Infant tickets: aged 2 and under

Infant tickets are free of charge.


I have a friend or family member who wants to come as well.


Great, bring them along! Just make sure that the booking is made by a Boundless member.


How and when will I get my tickets?


To purchase tickets please click on the yellow box at right hand side of your screen. When you purchase your tickets you will receive a confirmation email with an e-ticket attached. Please print this e-ticket out or show it on your phone when you arrive on the day. The Boundless ticket station will be located next to the main entrance.


What time does this event start and end?


The members day will run from 10am – 5pm.

What is your refund policy?


Once you have purchased your event ticket/s they are non-refundable. This is because we have a very limited number of tickets and we may not be able to reallocate them. Tickets may be transferred to your friends or family but please email to inform us of any changes.


How accessible is the site for people with mobility difficulties?


Chester Zoo prides itself on being a fully accessible site. The zoo has over 100 disabled parking bays close to the entrance and free wheelchairs and electric scooters to hire subject to availability and a small deposit. Find out more here.


I have purchased child tickets. How do I claim my face painting voucher?


If you have purchased a child ticket you are entitled to a free face painting voucher which can be picked up at the Boundless welcome gazebo. The voucher be used at any of the stalls across Chester Zoo throughout the day. You will have been given the option to select face painting vouchers when booking your tickets. You are entitled to a maximum of 1 face painting voucher per child ticket purchased. It is the policy of Chester Zoo not to paint faces of infants (aged 0-2).


Does the venue offer carer tickets?


Visitors with disabilities may admit one accompanying carer free of charge to our members day. Once you have purchased your tickets, please email us on or call 0800 66 99 44 and notify us of your booking so we can add your career ticket to your booking. Chester Zoo requests you to bring relevant proof of entitlement such as a blue badge, or a Personal Independence Payments letter (issued by the DWP benefit office) as this will be asked for on arrival.
