Tornado: In the Eye of the Storm

Tornado navigator John Nichol and his pilot John Peters were shot down over Iraq in the opening hours of the 1991 Gulf War. Captured, tortured and paraded on TV, the images of the battered and bruised prisoners of war became an enduring symbol of that conflict.

In this exclusive member-only Boundless event, John will be talking about his new book Tornado: In the Eye of the Storm, which tells the story of the aircrews at the heart of Operation Desert Storm and the families who waited at home for news.

After leaving the RAF in 1996, John went on to become a TV presenter, speaker, broadcaster and author
