What’s involved?

Purpose of the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a progressive membership organisation and be involved in developing and shaping the business development function. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a can-do approach who is able to lead on developing the full range of distribution activities, from researching the market to driving the core sales, and everything in between!

Main responsibilities:

  • To research target organisations, and identify and engage decision makers within, or linked to, the civil service and wider public sector, to enable the promotion of Boundless membership to its eligible audience
  • To manage activity across the sales funnel with a B2B focus, from top of funnel brand awareness through to membership conversion with prospects in target organisations
  • To work with internal teams to develop a smart, targeted and effective approach to indirect distribution, developing and utilising all available physical and digital tools including CRM
  • To maintain relationships with existing and new organisations and indirect clients, ensuring they are regularly updated and exploring ways of maximising Boundless exposure
  • To manage the implementation of the Boundless Indirect Distribution Strategy initiatives, providing support to the Group Business Development Manager
  • To lead and develop the business development function to meet evolving sales targets through continuous improvement, establishing a regular reporting mechanism

Key Knowledge

You will have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent telephone manner; confident and articulate; competent lead management; experience of cold calling
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Time management & organisational skills
  • Experience in a sales/marketing environment managing key accounts
  • Good presentation skills, virtually and digitally, to a range of audiences varying in role and requirements
  • Target focused with strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

Desirable

  • B2B-focused sales experience
  • Sound knowledge of Civil Service and/or Public Sector
  • Sales CRM experience (Boundless currently operates MS Dynamics 365 Sales Hub)
  • People Management skills/experience
  • Project management skills/experience
  • Full UK driving license
