Essential and Premier Travel Insurance with LV=

From a weekend in the Cotswolds to a cruise around the world, you’ll love LV=’s top-rated Premier travel insurance. You can choose from two levels of cover, their Essential policy or their Defaqto 5 Star Rated Premier policy.

LV’s Premier travel insurance includes everything in the Essential travel insurance policy and more. Here’s some of the things you can expect from the two policies:

Travel insurance with COVID-19 cover

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic LV= made some important changes to their travel insurance policies. These include details of Coronavirus cover for all new customers and existing customers renewing with them.

Here are some examples of what’s covered:
Medical and repatriation costs if you become unwell with any Coronavirus or contagious disease, including COVID-19.
If your trip or holiday has to be cancelled because you or a travelling companion are diagnosed with any Coronavirus or contagious disease, including COVID-19.
Emergency repatriation costs to bring you home if the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) impose travel restrictions and have requested you to return home.

Some examples of what’s not covered:
Costs because you decide to cancel your trip or holiday if you don’t want to travel due to any Coronavirus or contagious disease, including COVID-19.
Costs because the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) or public authorities have imposed travel restrictions or a lockdown.
Additional transport or accommodation costs after you left home because the FCDO imposed travel restrictions or a lockdown either in the UK or at your destination.
