What does the National Trust for Scotland do?   

The National Trust for Scotland is the largest conservation charity in Scotland, dedicated to protecting and promoting Scotland’s natural, cultural and built heritage.

How do I get unlimited access to National Trust for Scotland places?    

Unlimited access to National Trust for Scotand places is included free with Boundless Plus. Discover Boundless membership packages. If you currently work or have previously worked for – or have retired from – the public sector or civil service, you can join Boundless. This includes civil service departments as well as public sector employers like the NHS, armed forces, emergency services, education, government agencies and local authorities. How and when do I receive my car park pass?     

When you join Boundless Plus your car park pass will be posted inside your membership pack. If you don’t have time to spare, you can log in to your Boundless membership account and download your car park pass. You will need to print and display in your windscreen when you park.

I have lost my car park pass, what do I do?    

Don’t worry. Log in to your Boundless membership account and download your car park pass. You will need to print and display in your windscreen when you park.

What is the age limit for free child admission?   

All children under the age of 18. Free child admission is only available with a Boundless Plus member present.

Can anyone use my membership card?   

Free admission to National Trust for Scotland places is only available to Boundless Plus members. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to show your Boundless Plus membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification. Guests and children can only attend with a Boundless Plus member present.

Boundless Plus membership allows admission only for a family (two adults and up to six children) at National Trust for Scotland places. Boundless Plus membership is valid 7 days a week at National Trust for Scotland places within advertised opening hours. These may be subject to change at any time. Some National Trust for Scotland places may require or advise pre-booking in advance. Please check the website to plan your visit*

ID may be requested to verify that the visitor(s) corresponds to the name featured on the Boundless Plus membership card. If the National Trust for Scotland deems resale or membership card transfer to have occurred, they reserve the right to refuse use of the card and the full admission price may be charged.

Boundless Plus membership does not grant entry to ticketed events taking place at National Trust for Scotland places on the day of visitation.

Boundless Plus membership does not allow admission to places with reciprocal entry agreements, such as National Trust (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)

Boundless Plus membership entry is for standard admission only and excludes non-standard admission, group entry, transport, and any paid events.

The National Trust for Scotland (Hermiston Quay, 5 Cutlins Road, Edinburgh, EH11 4DF) is a registered charity (number SC 007410).

*Visit the property’s page on the National Trust for Scotland website, click ‘Planning Your Visit’ to find out whether booking is required or advised. If booking is required or advised, click on ‘Book Visit’ and select the free Trust Member option. Complete the transaction and you will receive a confirmation email. If you only select the free members tickets, you will not need to enter your debit/credit card details and you will not be charged. Bring along both your booking confirmation and Boundless Plus membership card. Present these to the National Trust for Scotland team member on arrival. Without both the booking confirmation and a Boundless Plus membership card we cannot guarantee entry, and without Boundless Plus membership card you will not receive free entry and will be charged the full admission price.
