What is the National Art Pass?

The National Art Pass gives you free or half-price entry to hundreds of museums and galleries, historic places across the UK and 50% off major exhibitions. You’ll also get a printed Art Map listing all the places you can visit, Art Quarterly magazine and Art in Your Inbox, a newsletter keeping you up to date with local exhibitions and special offers.

Every visit with your pass helps supports Art Fund, the national charity that helps museums and galleries grow, share their collections and inspire more people through art and culture.

How do I get a free National Art Pass?

It’s easy! The National Art Pass is included with your Boundless Plus membership. To set up your pass, click the "Set up my pass" link above to reveal your unique promo code and follow these steps.

Important: Make sure you finish signing up before you start exploring. Leaving the process may disrupt your unique Boundless journey. Your Pass will always be free at checkout. Once activated, your National Art Pass will give you 12 months of access from the date of activation.

If you encounter any issues, please reach out to Member services for assistance.

When will I receive my National Art Pass?

Once you’ve set up your National Art Pass, please allow up to 10 working days for your pass to arrive. Standard delivery is via Royal Mail Second Class post. Express delivery is available for an additional fee. National Art Passes are fulfilled by Art Fund. If, after 10 days, you haven’t received your pass, please contact Art Fund direct on 020 3757 9772 or email members@artfund.org.

How much is a National Art Pass with Boundless?

With Boundless Plus, you get the National Art Pass membership for £78 per year, plus extra Boundless member perks on days out, dining and travel.

Is Art Fund the same as the National Art Pass?

Art Fund is the charity and the National Art Pass is the membership card run by Art Fund that gives free or discounted entry at participating venues.

Where can I use my National Art Pass?

The National Art Pass membership gives you free entry at hundreds of museums, galleries and historic houses, plus 50% off many major exhibitions. You can use the National Art Pass all over the UK, from Edinburgh, through the South West in Bath and Bristol, along the South Coast in Brighton and down to Cornwall’s historic houses, as well as in London. Can I use the National Art Pass in London?

Yes, Art Pass London options are extensive. With the National Art Pass London , you can plan amazing days out at major venues like the National Gallery, The British Museum and Tate Modern , alongside a range of other museums and exhibitions across the capital. With Boundless Plus, enjoy a UK-wide Art Pass ideal for culture lovers and family days out.

Which National Art Pass museums can I visit?

The National Art Pass gives you access to hundreds of participating museums, galleries and historic houses across the UK. You can explore the full list on the National Art Pass map to see what’s included near you today.

Please note that the National Art Pass does not own or operate any of these venues or exhibitions. It provides access to a network of independent museums, galleries and historic houses that participate in Art Fund’s National Art Pass programme.

Does the National Art Pass work at the National Gallery?

Yes, the National Gallery is one of the independent venues that participates in the Art Fund's museum network. With your National Art Pass, you can enjoy 50% off paid exhibitions there.

Please note that the National Gallery is not owned or operated by the National Art Pass. It is an independent institution that voluntarily participates in Art Fund’s National Art Pass programme.

The important bits

Free access to the Art Fund’s National Art Pass is available exclusively to Boundless Plus members. To receive this benefit, members must complete a registration form with Art Fund to activate their National Art Pass.

At registration, the member can select whether to add to their membership: one additional adult and children in their household under the age of 16.

Once activated, Boundless Plus members will enjoy access to the National Art Pass for 12 months from the date of activation. This benefit is non-transferable and available only while the member holds an active Boundless Plus membership.
