Association Chair: Gerard O'Sullivan

Gerard has been a CSMA board member since May 2019, when elected as Club Treasurer, then becoming CSMA Vice-Chair in 2022 and Chair in November 2023. Gerard was an Independent Council Member from 2018 and has been a member of CSMA since 1993. He has over 26 years’ professional career experience in the technology, IT and telecoms sectors, having worked in executive operational, commercial and financial management roles, for BT in the UK, Europe, Asia, USA and Latin America. Gerard was also more recently Chief Operating Officer with a UK local authority where he was responsible for over 1500 employees and an operational budget of £250m. He is a qualified non-executive director, currently a trustee of a Scottish charity and was appointed in 2018 by the Scottish Government to the board of its resource efficiency and sustainability body, Zero Waste Scotland. Gerard graduated from the London Business School with an MBA in Corporate Finance and Strategy, and holds degrees in computer and electrical engineering. An active outdoors, sport and exercise enthusiast, he climbs mountains regularly and is also working hard on his karate!

Vice Chairman: Geoff Gaunt

Geoff was elected Association Vice Chair at the October 2025 AGM, following his previous roles as Club Leader (elected in November 2023) and a year on the Board as Club Treasurer. He joined CSMA/Boundless in the early 1980s and, from 1998, spent 20 years as the Treasurer of his Local Group. Geoff has also served in a number of other local and national Club governance roles over the years, helping him develop a deep understanding of the wide range of activities and communities that make up the Club. Geoff spent his entire career in the public sector, primarily in Human Resources and Organisational Development, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. Now retired, his interests include volunteering, travelling, theatre, live music, and real ale.

Club Leader: Ian Jarrett

Ian Jarrett was elected Club Leader in 2025, bringing a wealth of experience from his longstanding involvement with Boundless. Ian first became engaged with the organisation through marshalling at car rallies, which sparked a passion for both motorsport and community engagement. Over the years, he has chaired the Shropshire Group, led the West Midlands Marshalling Team, and served as Motoring Leader on the Club Council, representing the interests of motoring enthusiasts across the club. With a regulatory background as an Environmental Protection Officer, Ian brings significant experience in governance, compliance, and responsible decision-making. His expertise enables him to act in the best interests of all members, balancing the needs of member communities with the wider goals of the Association. As Club Leader, Ian is committed to listening to members, fostering social interaction, and ensuring that the benefits of membership are accessible to all, while guiding the club towards a sustainable future.

Club Treasurer: Janice Stace

Janice joined the CSMA in 2011, and has been the Secretary of the York Local Group since 2016, taking an active part in the organisation of the events provided by the Group for Boundless members in addition to the Secretarial duties. In 2021, Janice was elected to the role of Local Groups Representative and has taken responsibility for those Local Groups in the North of the country, liaising between them and Member Communities. Prior to retirement, Janice worked as a Civil Servant in the Inland Revenue for nearly thirty-nine years, and has experience of building management, training and HR duties. Since retirement she has continued her interest in gardening and hot air ballooning, where she has also served on the local committee of the Pennine Region Balloon Association.

Non-Executive Director and Audit & Risk Committee Chair: Debbie Beaven

Debbie has over 25 years in the C-Suite as an FD and CFO in different businesses and sectors, including Media (Meridian and Central TV), International Engineering and environmental consultancy (Gifford and Ramboll), Management consultancy (Bain & Co) and financial services (Simplyhealth and Denplan), where she led finance, strategy and change programmes and improved performance outcomes. Debbie left executive life in March 2022 to take up a Non-Executive Director portfolio and now has a number of Board positions; Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, Newbury Building Society. She is also a trustee in two charities: Community Forest Trust and Leap Confronting Conflict. Her roles represent her values and sense of purpose, with a particular passion for health, sustainability and supporting organisations to address societal inequalities. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and in the last few years has gained additional qualifications; INSEAD Global Leadership Certificate and a professional certificate in Executive Coaching with Henley Business School. As an Executive Coach she combines coaching skills with her extensive experience in leadership and “the Board” to support others in the development of their executive careers. Coaching sessions provide the focussed time and a safe space to explore “self”. The question of what needs to change for an individual to navigate the journey from now to a future destination leads to self-awareness, which inspires personal growth, courage and confidence to move forward.

Non-Executive Director: Dan Burdett

Dan grew up in Devon and read Architecture at The University of Bath, before swapping buildings for beauty to join L’Oréal where he spent 6 years working in sales and marketing roles. Dan then joined Unilever to become Brand Director for male deodorant brand Lynx and spent the next 7 years working in S. America, Europe and the US, before settling in Tokyo. In 2008 Dan joined Mars Inc as the Global Marketing VP for Snickers and subsequently went on to hold several Chief Marketing roles in different technology and eCommerce businesses including eBay. Most recently has been the Chief Customer & Growth Officer at Pret A Manger and is currently the Chief Customer Officer at the UK’s 3rd biggest energy supplier, OVO Energy. Outside of work Dan is a keen runner and cyclist and at weekends can usually be found on the touchline of a local football pitch, enthusiastically supporting his 13-year-old son!

Chief Executive Officer: Colin Slinn

Colin is the Association’s Chief Executive Officer, having overall responsibility for the operation and direction of the company and acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and the Association. He joined the Association in 2004 and has over 25 years of experience as a finance professional within different organisations of varying size and scale. Prior to being appointed as CEO, Colin held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the Association for over 15 years. He previously worked within the senior finance team at Lloyds TSB Private Banking and before that at American Express Global Network Services. He also has extensive experience within the retail insurance and travel sector. Colin graduated from Swansea University with a bachelor’s degree in Economic and Social History and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

Chief Marketing Officer: Darren Milton

Darren is the Chief Marketing Officer at Boundless with overall responsibility for marketing. He has been with the organisation since 2009, working in various positions within the marketing, publishing and commercial teams. Prior to that he held the position of Creative Director at a brand and marketing agency, working on marketing strategy and brand development with clients such as Unilever, Kuoni and Lloyds TSB. He has over 23 years’ experience in the travel and leisure industry and holds an HND in Graphic Design and Communication. Darren is a keen outdoor fitness enthusiast and has participated in a number of events including the Brighton Marathon.

Chief People Officer: Andrea Lakos

Andrea is the Association's Chief People Officer, with responsibility for the Group's People and Culture, Health & Safety, and Facilities functions. Since joining in 2014, she has been a driving force in evolving the workplace culture and cultivating high-performing teams. Andrea holds an MSc in Organisational Psychology, an MA in Human Resource and Employment Management, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Her professional experience spans building HR infrastructure for growing companies and leading large-scale recruitment for global pharmaceutical firms. In her free time, Andrea enjoys running, tennis, and winter sports.
