About this event
Fraud and scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated and knowing how to spot the warning signs has never been more important. Join us for this eye-opening online talk exploring how modern scams really work, why anyone can be targeted and what we can all do to stay protected.
This fascinating session challenges many of the common myths around fraud, helping members understand the tactics criminals use to manipulate, pressure and deceive people every day. Through real world examples and national research, you’ll discover how scams are designed to exploit trust, emotions and moments of vulnerability, regardless of age, background or experience.
The talk will also explore the emotional impact fraud can have, from stress and anxiety to longer-term effects on confidence and wellbeing. Importantly, it encourages a more supportive ‘no blame, no shame’ approach, placing responsibility where it belongs, with the criminals themselves.
Members will come away with practical guidance on recognising scam techniques, understanding risk factors and having more open conversations around fraud prevention with family and friends.
There will also be a special giveaway on the night exclusively for Boundless members.
By clicking ‘Register for event’ you’ll be taken to our streaming partner Crowdcast, a third-party website we use to host our online events. Any personal data you share will be handled in line with their privacy policy and UK data-protection laws.
