George Bernard Shaw famously said, “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” I couldn’t agree more, and this issue is a reminder that the most enduring memories aren’t the ones with the biggest price tags; they’re born from spontaneity and play.

Our cover is the perfect starting point – a maze hiding clues to the adventures tucked away in these pages. There’s something refreshing about rediscovering a sense of wonder, whether it’s the triumph of navigating a winding labyrinth or the slightly rebellious joy of a walk in the rain. I particularly enjoyed our feature on geocaching (page 68) – it’s a wonderful way to turn a simple stroll into a genuine treasure hunt, proving that a bit of curiosity and a map are often all you need for a terrific afternoon.

We’re also celebrating 75 years of Snowdonia National Park, with a road trip in spectacular sunshine that showcases our doorstep gems. From the wild beauty of the Camargue to the inspiring stories of four Boundless volunteers, this issue is an invitation to explore somewhere new.
