What are the accommodation options at Cotswold Cottages?
Located right next door to the Cotswold Motoring Museum (see below), Cotswold Cottages comprises five residences – four one-bedroom apartments housed within an old mill building, and a three-bedroom cottage for families or larger parties. Each one marries period charm with the latest home comforts, providing you with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
What is there to do at Cotswold Cottages?
While there are no activities at the actual accommodation (unless you want to include cosying up with a good book!), there’s plenty to do right on your doorstep. Bourton-on-the-Water is awash with independent shops selling everything from handmade jewellery to crafts – and be sure to visit Bakery on the Water, recently named among the UK’s best.
Considering the size of the town, Bourton also boasts a surprising number of visitor attractions. Entry to one of these, the award-winning Cotswold Motoring Museum, comes free with your Cotswold Cottages booking, meaning you and your fellow guests can browse the museum’s incredible collection of motor vehicles, vintage toys and other historic gems without spending a penny.
Other attractions within the town or in the local vicinity include the Model Village – which recreates the whole of Bourton-on-the-Water in a remarkable 1/19th scale – the Birdland Park & Gardens, Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre and tours of Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brewery in nearby Cheltenham.
