You’ll receive help from the Boundless Member Communities team who is dedicated to supporting volunteers. The team will help with event guidance, finance and marketing, as well as support from experienced volunteers through mentoring and development opportunities. We cover out‑of‑pocket expenses, host networking events, and offer both online and in‑person training to help you feel confident in your role.
You’ll also have access to our Volunteer Hub, where all the essential tools and information you need are in one place. And of course, we love to celebrate your contribution through our Volunteer Recognition Awards Ceremony and annual meal funding, ensuring you feel valued and appreciated as part of the Boundless community.

We have a variety of roles available for everyone. suitable for all levels of experience, ranging from assisting on the day to organising a whole event. After you complete the form about how you would like to help, we will then get in touch with the roles we have available to work out what would be suit you and your goals.
We will work with you to choose the volunteer role that feels right for you. We’ll help you find something that matches your interests and comfort level. Some roles are subject to availability or require an election process which we can talk you through as we find out what you would like to be involved in.
Yes, the groups are always looking for new volunteers and support to put their activities on for Boundless members.
Yes, we are always looking for new events and locations to bring members together. We will support you in creating an event or a new group.
Volunteer activities take place across the whole UK. We have national interest groups and local groups as volunteers often organise events in their local areas. If you don’t see a local group close to you, we can support in setting up a new group to bring members together in your area. Events take place throughout the whole year so there is a lot of flexibility to work to your availability.
Yes, we have a finance policy that covers all the expenses you can claim as a volunteer to support planning and organising events.
We do our best to ensure our volunteer activities take place in accessible locations and to make reasonable adjustments, when possible, to accommodate all volunteers.
Yes, our volunteering opportunities are open to all Boundless members.
No, there is no additional cost on top of your Boundless membership to become a volunteer. We also have a volunteer handbook which supports our volunteers and includes information on paid expenses. We cover certain event expenses to ensure you are not out of pocket when volunteering with us.
