What does new-for-old caravan insurance cover mean?

New-for-old cover means that Caravan Guard’s policy will replace your insured caravan with the most recent model (or equivalent) if it is stolen and not recovered, or damaged beyond economic repair. New-for-old cover requires you to insure your caravan at the value it would cost to replace with a new equivalent model, and not its current value. New-for-old cover is available on touring caravans, folding campers and trailer tents up to 15 years old or for fifth-wheel caravans up to five years from date of first registration.

Does Caravan Guard offer cover to take my motorhome abroad?

To ensure you don’t pay for cover that you don’t need or are unlikely to use, Caravan Guard offers European cover and breakdown as optional extras on top of its standard motorhome insurance policy.

Touring caravan, folding camper, trailer tent, campervan and motorhome policyholders introduced to Caravan Guard via Boundless will qualify for a 5% discount on standard Caravan Guard rates – this applies to both new and renewing customers. Discount is subject to underwriting terms and conditions. Not available in conjunction with other offers. Minimum premiums apply.
