About the talkJoin fellow Boundless members for a fascinating astronomical talk by Tony Hersh. Tony entertains with his talks and writings, frequently referencing major discoveries and missions, including the initial findings from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). He has presented on topics such as "A Brief Tour of the Universe" and "Recent Discoveries in Astronomy," showing how instruments like the JWST are expanding our understanding of the cosmos. In this talk, he will guide us through some of the most recent findings in astronomy, highlighting mysteries and unexplained observations. He is a keen amateur astronomer and recently shared a striking image of the Northern Lights he captured in Iceland in March 2024. Tony is vice chairman of Newbury Astronomical Society and has contributed an astronomy article to a newspaper for many years. Refreshments will be available as usual. Free parking is provided, but please remember to register your car on arrival at reception. There will also be opportunities to learn about future events, view past club magazines, and socialise in the bar. All members, along with family and friends, are warmly invited to join this fascinating talk. |

This depends on the event. Many social events are free, particularly those held at local venues. Some events, such as trips or special activities, may have a cost, but you may also be able to take advantage of exclusive Boundless member discounts.
