Enjoy an evening ride aboard a vintage steam trainThis annual and unique event is a highlight of the Watercress Line calendar. The steam train will make one round trip along the line, travelling 20 miles through the countryside over the “Hampshire Alps” on (hopefully!) a lovely summer evening. The train will consist of five coaches, carrying around 200 passengers, typically running at around three-quarters capacity for a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. Railway buffets and shops will be open, along with an onboard train buffet. At Ropley, there will be a run-past where passengers can detrain to watch the locomotive steam through the station. There will also be a pre-arranged draw for six rides on the engine’s footplate. All family and friends are welcome. |

Social events are a relaxed and friendly way for Boundless members to come together, meet new people and enjoy shared interests.
Activities vary from group to group and can include anything from a museum visit or pub lunch to a guest speaker talk or games night. Groups are always pleased to welcome new faces.
In most cases, yes. Guests are welcome at social events, as long as one person attending is a Boundless member.

This depends on the event. Many social events are free, particularly those held at local venues. Some events, such as trips or special activities, may have a cost, but you may also be able to take advantage of exclusive Boundless member discounts.
