About the venueSummer is here and we are making a welcome return to the ever popular Wharf Tavern in Goldstone. Following our visit in May last year, this venue has quickly become a firm favourite. Set in a picturesque location by the canal, it offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is perfect for a sociable get together. There is also a campsite on site, so you may wish to make a short break of it and stay for a night or two. If travelling south from Market Drayton, continue beyond Woodseaves and, after leaving the 40mph zone on the A529, turn east at the brown “Wharf Tavern” sign. If travelling north from Hinstock on the A529, turn right for Cheswardine at the brown “Wharf Tavern” sign. Continue ahead, bearing left where the road forks, then follow the road down into the valley and over canal bridge 55. The pub is located immediately on the left. The Wharf Tavern offers a varied menu, with lunchtime main courses starting from £16, alongside a selection of lighter bites and sandwiches to suit all tastes. If you haven’t joined us before, Lunch Bunch is a friendly local group for members across South Cheshire, the Potteries and North Shropshire. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 for a 1:00pm lunch, offering a great chance to enjoy good food and even better company. New members are always very welcome, so it’s the perfect opportunity to come along and join us. |

Activities vary from group to group and can include anything from a museum visit or pub lunch to a guest speaker talk or games night. Groups are always pleased to welcome new faces.
In most cases, yes. Guests are welcome at social events, as long as one person attending is a Boundless member.

This depends on the event. Many social events are free, particularly those held at local venues. Some events, such as trips or special activities, may have a cost, but you may also be able to take advantage of exclusive Boundless member discounts.
