Set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, Jodrell Bank is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the iconic Lovell Telescope, a 76-metre structure that has been scanning the skies since 1957. From tracking Sputnik’s first orbit to supporting the Apollo Moon missions, it stands as one of Britain’s greatest scientific achievements and continues to contribute to cutting-edge research today.

Dive into hands-on science through interactive exhibitions, experience live Telescope Talks and uncover the story of space, technology and discovery in a way that’s engaging for all ages. Step inside the impressive First Light Pavilion to explore the origins of the universe, watch an introduction to Jodrell Bank on the big screen or take your seat in one of the spectacular Space Dome Shows, including the magical What Santa Sees, a festive journey across the night sky.

Jodrell Bank is located in the Cheshire countryside near Macclesfield and is easily accessible via the M6, M56 and A535. The nearest train station is Goostrey, around 2 miles away and approximately a 5-minute taxi journey from the site. Macclesfield and Crewe stations are also nearby, around 25 to 30 minutes away by taxi. Please note there is no direct public transport service to the site, so a taxi is recommended for the final part of your journey.
Parking is free and available onsite close to the entrance.
Go directly to the main entrance and present your Boundless e-ticket for entry. There’s no need to check in with a Boundless team on this occasion.
Yes, Boundless members can book tickets for up to four guests (including children) within their allocation at the Boundless member prices.
