About the talkWe are pleased to welcome Paul Jiggins this month. Paul will take us on a fascinating and whimsical journey through the history of the picture postcard, from its rise to its eventual decline. Along the way, he will explore how postcards captured everyday life, shaped popular culture, and offered ordinary people a window into places, events, and social trends that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. Expect stories of quirky images, iconic designs, and the surprising ways postcards reflected the hopes, humour, and imagination of generations past.
