About the talkJoin fellow Boundless members for another fascinating talk by David Bailey, Springwatch wildlife photographer. This presentation features high-quality images and video snippets, exploring a year in the life of the hare. From autumn, when hares lose their summer habitats to the harvest, through the depths of winter, and into the excitement of the chase and boxing season from February onwards. You’ll see close encounters with leverets, hungry hares, and those simply enduring a “bad hare day.” The talk is light-hearted yet informative and even includes a fun quiz. David Bailey is one of the UK’s leading wildlife photographers, having won several awards including the Welsh Wildlife Photographic Award in 2011. He has worked as both cameraman and wildlife consultant for the BBC series Rhys Jones Wildlife Patrol and has appeared on the BBC’s Springwatch and ITV’s Coast & Country. He is highly respected for his expertise and enthusiasm, receiving the Brand Laureate International Award in recognition of his photography and being invited to Westminster on several occasions for his views on a Wildlife Bill. Refreshments will be available as usual. Free parking is provided, but please remember to register your car on arrival at reception. There will also be opportunities to learn about future events, view past club magazines, and socialise in the bar. All members, along with family and friends, are warmly invited to join this engaging talk. |
