8 great deals for December

2. Tuck into something tasty at Morrisons Café

If you happen to be doing said Christmas shopping in Morrisons, then you might prefer to have a rest and a bite to eat in your local store’s own cafe. The chain hasn’t released its festive menu yet (we understand it’s imminent), but there are always lots of options anyway – from breakfasts to light bites, classic meals to chip-shop favourites. 6. Embark on a festive steam adventure

Christmas classic The Polar Express made us all dream about jumping on a steam train bound for Santa’s toy factory in the North Pole. Such a thing doesn’t exist in real life (at least that we know of!), but that doesn’t mean you can’t take your seat aboard a special locomotive this winter.

Over the next few weeks, The Railway Touring Company  is running a number of services destined for magical festive locations, including the world-famous Christmas markets in Bath and Edinburgh, Rochester in Kent with its Victorian-style celebrations, and the historic city of York, which looks charming all year round but especially in December. 7. Get on your bike for a great deal

Right about now, there will be children up and down the country begging their parents for a new bike for Christmas. If your kids are among them, then you may be wondering where to buy a good-quality product that’s not going to cost a fortune.
