What is the National Art Pass?

The national art pass membership gives you free or discounted entry to hundreds of museums and galleries, and historic places across the UK, including 50% off many major exhibitions. It also includes a subscription to Art Quarterly magazine and Art in your inbox e‑newsletters.

Every visit with your pass helps support Art Fund, the national charity that helps museums and galleries grow, share their collections, and inspire more people through art.

How do I get a free National Art Pass?

It’s easy. The National Art Pass membership comes free with Boundless Plus Just join Boundless Plus and follow the simple registration steps to claim your pass.

Boundless Plus membership is exclusively for people working in, or retired from, the UK public sector and civil service, and their families. Check your eligibility today.

When will I receive my National Art Pass?

Once you’ve registered for your free National Art Pass with Boundless Plus, please allow up to 10 working days for your pass to arrive. Standard delivery is via Royal Mail Second Class post. Express delivery is available for an additional fee. National Art Passes are fulfilled by Art Fund.

Where can I use my National Art Pass?

The National Art Pass membership gives you free entry at hundreds of museums, galleries and historic houses, plus 50% off many major exhibitions. You can use the National Art Pass all over the UK, from Edinburgh, through the South West in Bath and Bristol, along the South Coast in Brighton and down to Cornwall’s historic houses, as well as in London. Can I use the National Art Pass in London?

Yes, Art Pass London options are extensive. With the National Art Pass London , you can plan amazing days out at major venues like the National Gallery, The British Museum and Tate Modern , alongside a range of other museums and exhibitions across the capital. With Boundless Plus, enjoy a UK-wide Art Pass ideal for culture lovers and family days out.

Does the National Art Pass work at the National Gallery?

Yes, the National Gallery is one of the independent venues that participates in the Art Fund's museum network. With your National Art Pass, you can enjoy 50% off paid exhibitions there.

Please note that the National Gallery is not owned or operated by the National Art Pass. It is an independent institution that voluntarily participates in Art Fund’s National Art Pass programme.

Free access to the Art Fund’s National Art Pass is available exclusively to Boundless Plus members. To receive this benefit, members must complete a registration form with Art Fund to activate their National Art Pass. At registration, the member can select whether to add to their membership: one additional adult and children in their household under the age of 16. Once activated, Boundless Plus members will enjoy access to the National Art Pass for 12 months from the date of activation. This benefit is non-transferable and available only while the member holds an active Boundless Plus membership.

* The value of Boundless Plus instant benefits are calculated by combining comparable membership deals at RBG Kew, National Trust for Scotland, Kids Pass, tastecard including Coffee Club and the Ramblers, as well as equivalent admission offers at WWT Slimbridge and the Tower of London (HRP).
