What's includedIncluded in this break is three nights dinner, bed and breakfast, along with a welcome drink on the first night. Also included is the New Years Eve gala dinner, with a glass of champagne to bring in the new year. |
What to do in the local areaHow you spend your days is up to you, why not head out and explore the local area. Discover Swindon’s industrial past at STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway. Drive the steam train simulator, discover the history of those who built the Great Western Railway and see amazing locomotives. You can also visit Lydiard Park, the ancestral home of Viscount Bolingbroke. With walled gardens and parkland, this is the perfect country estate for a stroll. If you fancy taking in a show, concert or play, see what’s on at Wyvern Theatre. Make the most of the Boxing Day sales at the Designer Outlet Swindon, the home to many Hight St and Designer brands in a renovated Grade II listed building. The DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon is also just a 25-minute drive from the Cotswolds, where there are beautiful walks and historical villages. On New Years' Eve, the celebrations begin! You will be treated to a gala dinner, as well as a chilled glass of champagne as you count down the New Year. There will also be a entertainment throughout the evening! Social breaks are a relaxed and friendly way for Boundless members to come together, meet new people and visit new places. Activities vary from break to break and can include anything from a museum or garden visit, to activities at the hotel or just enjoying your free time. Groups are always pleased to welcome new faces.
Our social breaks are not guided, but we always have a volunteer host who is there to help with any questions you have, ensure you're comfortable and help to bring people together.
Yes! Many of our members attend the breaks alone. It is a great opportunity to meet like minded people and socialise in a warm and inviting environment.
In most cases, yes. Guests are welcome at social events, as long as one person attending is a Boundless member. There may be occasional exceptions, it’s always best to reach out and ask. You can used the contact details on the group’s home page or in the ‘How to book’ section of the event page.
