About the breakMonday 7 - Friday 11 June 2027This highly popular break consistently sells out, so we are excited to bring it back for 2027. Early booking is advised to avoid missing out. The TLH Toorak Hotel is the perfect place for a peaceful break in Torquay, offering a quieter atmosphere, views over the historic Torre Abbey House and Gardens and access to Torquay seafront. The hotel also offers daytime activities and an evening entertainment programme, which is available at no extra cost. What's includedIncluded in this four-night break are breakfast and three-course dinners each day, tea and coffee, and a welcome drink of house wine served with dinner on the first night. Car parking is free, with two electric vehicle charging points available at a cost. Guests can extend their stay with an additional night before the break to extend their holiday. |
What to do in the local areaTorquay is a beautiful seaside town with plenty to see and do. Highlights include Kents Cavern, a Stone Age site offering guided tours, and Babbacombe Model Village. Torquay Harbour offers a picturesque setting with shops, cafes, and boat trips. Torre Abbey Museum, with its art galleries and gardens, is also a must-visit. Torre Abbey Sands is perfect for swimming, while Meadfoot Beach offers a quieter spot to relax. The South West Coast Path provides stunning coastal views, and Cockington Country Park features traditional thatched cottages and gardens. Dartmoor National Park, a short drive away, is ideal for hiking and cycling. Nearby attractions include Paignton Zoo, the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway, and the Princess Theatre. You can also take a self-guided tour of the Agatha Christie Mile or visit her holiday home, Greenway, a National Trust property. For water sports, Torquay Watersports offers jet skiing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Boat trips along the coast, wildlife watching, and fishing excursions are also popular. Enjoy local seafood at The Elephant, which has a Michelin star, or indulge in a traditional cream tea at one of the many cafes. For day trips, the charming town of Dartmouth, known for its naval history and picturesque setting, is accessible by boat or car. Totnes, with its unique shops and castle, is also worth a visit, as is Exeter, with its beautiful cathedral, shopping, and museums. |

About the hotelThe hotel’s facilities include a 25m heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor pool with sun terrace, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room, all available for guests to enjoy. A fully equipped gym, ten-pin bowling, indoor bowls arena, and snooker are also available, with some activities incurring a small fee. Luxury spa treatments, Pilates, Zumba, yoga, aqua aerobics, and mindfulness and meditation classes are available at an extra cost. The hotel also offers daytime activities and an evening entertainment programme, which is available at no extra cost. The hotel has a lift and offers a range of rooms designed to meet different needs, including disabled-adapted rooms, rooms with step-in showers, and ground-floor rooms close to the lift. Price£264 per person sharing a double or twin room. Same price applies to single rooms. Single use of a double room may be available on a request basis at £20 per person, per night supplement on the standard rate. Add an additional night on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (this rate applies for Sunday night only) for £57 per person based on two people sharing or guests in a single room. Subject to availability. A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required at the point of booking, and the balance is due a minimum of 28 days before arrival. Social breaks are a relaxed and friendly way for Boundless members to come together, meet new people and visit new places. Activities vary from break to break and can include anything from a museum or garden visit, to activities at the hotel or just enjoying your free time. Groups are always pleased to welcome new faces.
Our social breaks are not guided, but we always have a volunteer host who is there to help with any questions you have, ensure you're comfortable and help to bring people together.
Yes! Many of our members attend the breaks alone. It is a great opportunity to meet like minded people and socialise in a warm and inviting environment.
In most cases, yes. Guests are welcome at social events, as long as one person attending is a Boundless member. There may be occasional exceptions, it’s always best to reach out and ask. You can used the contact details on the group’s home page or in the ‘How to book’ section of the event page.
