The York Group is a friendly and welcoming community whose events have been bringing members together for almost thirty years.

To this day, the group continues to grow and was awarded the ‘Volunteer Group of the Year’ in 2025, recognised for their energy, teamwork, and engaging events.

Members enjoy free monthly club nights with guest speaker talks and a variety of activities. In the summer, the group arranges trips to places of interest, from stately homes and gardens to river cruises and guided walks.

Around forty members typically attend each event, reflecting the group’s strong spirit of friendship and community. A quarterly newsletter keeps everyone up to date with upcoming activities.

Often participating in events alongside the Leeds Group, there are always plenty of activities on the calendar, and new members are warmly welcome to get involved.
