Promote Your Event
Boundless WebsiteOnce your event is approved, the Member Communities team will add it to the Boundless website. This is why submitting your event form as early as possible is so important - it allows more time to promote your event to the wider membership and helps maximise attendance. The Boundless website is one of the best ways to reach members. Events appear in listings and can also be found using the map search function, making it easy for members nearby (and those looking to try something new) to discover what’s happening and get involved. We’re always looking for ways to improve our group and event pages. If you have photos from your events, you’re welcome to share them with the team so we can check they meet quality guidelines and add them to the website. Seeing friendly, welcoming faces helps members picture themselves taking part and can make a big difference in encouraging new people to attend. |

| Group Facebook PagesSome groups also have a member‑only Boundless Facebook group, which is a great way to promote upcoming events. These groups help more members discover what’s happening, build conversation and excitement ahead of the event, and provide a space to share photos and stories afterwards. If you’d like to set up a local group Facebook page, please get in touch with the Member Communities team and we’ll be happy to support you with the set‑up and next steps. |
Boundless Email ShotsIf you’re organising events and would like extra promotion, get in touch with us to arrange a targeted email sent to members in your local postcode area. This is an effective way to raise awareness of your group, highlight what’s coming up, and encourage members to get involved. Our Marketing team plans email activity around two months in advance, so the sooner you let us know you’d like support, the better chance we have of securing a suitable send date. We recommend sending emails around two to three weeks before your first event and featuring three to four upcoming events to showcase the range of activities you have planned. To reserve an email date or discuss your options, please contact member communities at membercommunities@boundless.co.uk |
Local promotionAlongside Boundless channels, local promotion can be a great way to spread the word about your events and attract new faces. Consider sharing details in local Facebook or community groups, as these are often well used by people looking for activities nearby. You could also display posters or flyers on noticeboards in places such as village halls, community centres, GP surgeries, libraries or local supermarkets. Word of mouth is just as powerful. Encourage existing attendees to talk about your events and invite a friend or guest along to try things out. A personal recommendation from someone already involved can help build confidence and make new members feel more comfortable coming along for the first time. Using a mix of online and face‑to‑face promotion can help your events reach more people and create a welcoming, well‑attended experience. |
