About the courseJoin fellow Boundless members for a fun day out with the North West Motorsport Group. The Autosolo/Autotest/PCA is a great entry into motorsport. Test your precision and car control, with slalom sections and longer turns. Courses are on a sealed surface (closed car parks, for example), marked out by plastic cones or pylons. The aim is to complete the course in the correct direction, as quickly and accurately as possible. If you hit a marker, you incur a time penalty, and driving in the wrong direction results in a ‘fail’. For an AutoSolo, no special equipment or training is needed. Any everyday road car that is taxed, insured and has a valid MOT is eligible for these competitions – two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, a small hatchback, or even an estate car. It doesn’t matter what you drive, it matters how precisely you drive it! You do not need a driving licence, provided someone else is driving the car to and from the event and you are at least 14 years of age. Unfortunately, there are no spectators permitted at this event. |
