About the rally

Tuesday 22 June - Thursday 1 July 2027

Join fellow members for this summer camping and caravanning rally set right by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. We will be staying at the Riverside Campsite which is just south of Skipton.

There's plenty to  see and do  during your visit. Explore the historic  market town of  Skipton, with its  impressive castle, canal  boat trips and  popular markets, or  discover the stunning  scenery of the  Yorkshire Dales National  Park.

Nearby attractions include Bolton Abbey  and the Embsay  and Bolton Abbey Heritage  Railway, while the  Keighley & Worth Valley  Railway takes you  to Oakworth Station, famous as a  filming location  for  The Railway Children. You can also  visit Haworth, home  of the Brontë  family, or travel  on the spectacular  Settle–Carlisle Railway  to see  the  iconic Ribblehead Viaduct.

During the weekend, Skipton's free annual  Sheep Day celebrates  the town's rich  heritage as a  historic sheep market  with entertainment and  activities for all  the  family. Saltaire, a UNESCO World  Heritage village with  galleries, museums, shops  and cafés, is  also within easy  reach by road  or rail.

Skipton is just  a short drive  or an 8-minute train journey  from Cononley Station, which is a  short walk from  the campsite. There  are also regular  buses to and  from the town. You can enjoy  canal boat trips  from Skipton, and there  is beautiful walking  countryside close by. Cononley is a  small village with  a couple of  places to eat  and drink, as well as  a village store. There are also  a number of  charming  villages to  explore in the  surrounding area.

We hope to  organise a group  visit to Skipton  Castle for a  guided tour, a  group trip on  the Keighley & Worth  Valley Heritage Railway, and even a  group ghost tour – if you dare! Other group activities, meals out and  social events will  be organised throughout  the rally.

All welcome.
