About the event

Join fellow Boundless members for the 43rd running of the Two Brewers Trophy Scatter. The North West London Group and Classic Vehicle Group have organised this fun and friendly evening where all members can get involved. This year’s scatter will follow a similar format to previous events, with 15 easy questions, of which only 8 answers are required to complete the event.

The start will be from 7:30pm onwards in the car park on Chipperfield Common opposite the Two Brewers Hotel (Map ref 043½016). If you arrive after around 8:30pm, you will likely find the organisers have already moved to the finish venue, the Red Lion on London Road next to the Railway Bridge, where club nights and informal gatherings are held.

The scatter will take place in the south-west corner of OS Map 166, within the area west of Easting 10 and south of Northing 07. Note there is a black spot within 100m of Map Ref 166/022006. A copy of the relevant map section will be provided if required.

A Motorsport UK exemption certificate has been applied for. The entry fee is £5 per crew.

Crews will be entered into two classes by the organisers: experts (those who have won the event within the last five years) and novices.

There are 15 easy questions, but each crew only needs to select a maximum of 8 for marking. Scoring is based on the number of correct answers submitted: 1 correct answer = 20 points, 2 = 15 points, 3 = 12 points, 4 = 10 points, 5 = 8 points, 6 = 6 points, and 7 or more = 5 points.

Answer sheets must be handed in at the finish no later than 10:00pm, with a penalty of one point per minute for late submission until 10:15pm, after which crews will be excluded. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the crew who submits their answer sheet in the shortest time.

The finish is at the Red Lion Public House, Hemel Hempstead HP3 9TD (Map Ref 166/069 044), where parking should be available. The organisers’ decision is final in all matters.

Whether you are experienced or taking part for the first time, it is a great opportunity to get involved, explore the area, and enjoy some light-hearted competition.
