Join the Shropshire Group for a talk from Alan Lewis - What's in a Word?
How much do we know about the everyday words and phrases that we use without a thought? How did they originate? Where and when did they become part of the vocabulary?
Alan will give us answers to these questions and tell about the richness of our language and how it became so.
Members gather from 7.30pm for tea/coffee and biscuits and a chance to chat. The talk will start at 8pm.
Family and friends are also welcome.
